New Moms.......to two babes born again!! VBS was such a treat this year! I'm ashamed to say, and asked the Lord to forgive, that it wasn't because of my readiness:) I tend to be a procrastinator! This year was no exception! There is something about the last minute thrill/rush that gets me going! Thanks be to God he overlooked my fault and saw the need!

Our attendance seemed a bit off. However, the Holy Spirit was not! I enjoyed the lesson of, "Water Wonder", so much! Keeping our eyes on the Savior, because when we take them off for just one minute, we begin to drown, as did Peter. For some group talk, I asked the class to give me in one minute flat, a story of when they faced their fears. Oh what responses I got! Just ask Lisa...aka...the preachers wife:) lol!!!!!! It's amazing what kids consider a fear:) Anyway, we had good discussions, and I pray that something said or done at VBS will stir up a desire within to seek and know God.

I'll leave with you some pics of the hot, but oh so Blessed Day!

Voyagers!

The Craft Lady!

My niece J on her special day!

Last, but certainly not least.....our VBS Director...Iris!! Thanks for another great year!!

Urgent Prayer Request!

Update: Caden is home and appears to be doing fine. The doctors cannot explain what happened to cause him to quit breathing. They speculate it was the mucus. Thank you for your prayers. Continue to pray for him and his parents. It's going to be hard to bat an eye, wondering if this could happen again.

I received a call from my friend T last night around 9:30. She was crying so bad I couldn't understand much, except that her nephew had quit breathing. His name is Cayden, I hoped I spelled that correctly, and he is 4 weeks old. While having a family cookout, his aunt was holding him and he just arched his back and quit breathing for like a minute. The family began to pray and beg God to intervene. God did answer their prayer! He was taken to the hospital by ambulance and is doing okay from the last report I got this morning.

The doctors cannot explain what happened. All the tests are coming back normal thus far. He is still in the hospital.

Please pray for these new parents and their family. I cannot fathom how much heartache and grief they are going through, just knowing that they almost lost their only son. My heart breaks for them. Please pray for God's healing to be upon the baby. Also, for the parents as they bring him home. Scared wouldn't begin to describe how they must feel. Not knowing is so hard.

What do know, is that God saved that little boy! God knows our every need! Had they not been at the cookout, he would have been in his crib. Goose bumps!

God is our refuge, our very help in times of trouble, our strength, our Redeemer, and from yesterday's SS lesson, our bridge builder.....another post, another day!

Pray on!

Carrie

One more!!
I mentioned in a previous post about our preacher and his subject that Sunday being, "one more." Praise be to God, he answered that prayer! My niece J, was saved at Bible School on Saturday!
As I was washing a few cups, someone came up to me and said you might want to go upstairs with J. I ran upstairs and there, she, her Mom (my sis) and the preacher were all knelt at the altar praying. Me and my SIL joined in with them. What a beautiful sight to behold. The precious smile on her face will forever be imprinted on my mind. She received the Lord as her Savior! Praise be to God!
Yesterday was so special. My two son's were baptized, along with my niece J. What a hallelujah time! My cup is overflowing with joy! Words cannot express how wonderful God is! We had such a sweet service. The spirit was real!
I don't know about you, but when I feel the spirit so strong like that....I get physically drained. Last night I felt like I had ran a marathon:) lol!!!
I want to thank all of you who have prayed for my kids. Also, a big hug to all of my church family and friends who were there yesterday. You will never know how much that meant to me and my family. I have never felt such love among friends!
My mind is just spinning a mile a minute...I can't type fast enough! I have so many thoughts. I guess what I feel right now is summed in the song, "The Love of God." I've posted about this before, but it says it all. Because what I feel inside right now, would drain the ocean dry if it was filled with ink.......I just can't write it all down.
As soon as I get pics of this weekends blessings, I will post them. I'll have to get them from friends who took pics for me. I took my camera and tried to take pics, but to no avail.....trembling...is the word for my emotional state yesterday.....hubby's too! So, thanks to you who got pics of the baptizing...love you!!
Hebrews 25, Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.
One more, Lord, just one more!!
Keep praying!!

All God's children say, "Amen!"

I got the best text message this afternoon from my friend WL. Her son, BL, was saved tonight at their Bible School, along with 3 more! I've been praying for him and for all the lost. I know how burdened down she has been for the kids at her church and Sunday School class. Sometimes we feel as if they are not getting it, maybe we should do more, less, maybe they are tired of seeing our faces, someone could do better....the questions go on and on. All the while, they do get it, they are listening, God is moving!

My mind keeps going back to what my pastor was preaching on Sunday.........one more Lord, just one more. I feel the presence of the Lord so strong here on this mountain. He is moving in a mighty way!

This picture that WL took last night at Bible school says it all!

My cup runneth over!!

Thanks be to God for sending His Son to die on that cruel cross for such a sinner as I!

Lord Jesus I pray for one more!

Love to all,

Carrie

Thanks to Iris for hosting Thankful Thursday!

I have so much to be thankful for! First and foremost, both of my boys being saved at home a few weeks ago ranks at the top of my list this week....again!! Nothing compares to the Love of God!

I want to share something a read this week that struck a heart string of mine. This just cracked me up and had to share with ya'll. Especially since my two little boys are being baptized this Sunday. Oh, I can't wait until then. What a blessing to see both of my children baptized at the same time. Ain't God Good!

~ Two Little Boys ~

After a hardy rainstorm filled all the potholes in the streets and alleys,
a young mother watched her two little boys playing in the puddle through her
kitchen window.

The older of the two, a five year old lad, grabbed his sibling by the back of his
head and shoved his face into the water hole.

As the boy recovered and stood laughing and dripping, the mother runs to the
yard in a panic.

' Why on earth did you do that to your little brother?!' she asks as she shook
the older boy in anger.

'We were just playing 'church' mommy, ' he said.
'And I was baptizing him.....in the name of the Father, the Son and in...the
hole-he-goes.'

Thanks to my AIL, S, for sharing this typical brother thing. I've watched this scenario play out before my eyes on several occasions, only not in a mud hole, but a swimming pool:) How they love to horse around and play church at the same time:) Priceless!!!

Until then my heart will go on singing.................

Besides Gold Bond, Noxzema ranks at the top of my shelf list! With summer, comes the fun of getting blistered at my house! We can get burnt in the shade:) I'm talking water bubbles, fry bacon on your back, peeling blistered! And it's just the first of June, and I'm already on my first jar of this stuff. We pick up the GoldBond when you add sand in the mix:)

Here's the Noxzema trick:

1) Apply over sunburn;

2) Let dry and leave on (do not wash off);

3) Put on your Dad's, Brother's, Husband's, etc......any man's white t-shirt.

Ahhhhh...brings back precious childhood memories of vacations gone bad:) due to excessive exposure to the sun...I can still feel the pain and itch:) Not to mention the ugly brown spots that are remnants of too much sun for this fair, freckled girl. I've switched from self tanners, which augmented my lovely spots, to Lubriderm's SPF 15 lotion, it's my new favorite thing! So, put your blinders on, it's short season, I'm wearing them, lily white legs and all:)

I was going to post this as a WFMW, but she has a theme to this weeks called, "Mom, I'm bored." I didn't think this would qualify as a bored buster for kids.........well, some kids may find lathering themselves in Noxzema a cool thing to do, but for the most part, the smell wards off youngsters:) lol!!!!! You know it involves clean:)

In the event you get a good case of sun poisoning, which I have had twice....once from tanning bed and once in March mowing the yard...go figure......, forget the Noxzema and head straight to the ER....cause your going to need something stronger than a topical analgesic! Just ask Hubby......I think he wanted to be treated for the pain and anguish I put him through getting me there:) lol!!!!

If you have any sunburn relief remedies please leave a comment. I would love to see what works for you! Besides using sunscreen:) lol!!!!!!!!!!! We use sunscreen, but sometimes fun trumps taking the time to apply it............oh the lessons we learn the hard way:)

Have a SPF day!

This is the weekend in pictures......in no particular order.....

This is what I saw at Mom's house Fri. evening........M's got it made....I miss those days of getting to nap:)

Saturday- I actually left the boys, after, I saw this.........at the new football practice field. BTW....thanks to all who have made this possible! The field...that is:)

Friday- Don't ask me about the score of the game....but the fireworks were out of this world!! Had a great time!

Friday

Me and S messing with the camera:)

Friday- Another tradition passed down to son #2. Except a more modern version, being that I saw it done with a horse pulling the plow......you know the old gee and haw (spelling...not so sure of), but maybe you get the drift. Unless you are like this young guy sitting in church one day when my Dad used the above reference to steering a horse/mule....I cracked up...I could hear him ask his grandmother, "what did he just say.":) lol!!!!!!!! I'm not that old either, Dad just has old fashion values and to go along with that, old equipment. Anyway, it made me smile and at the same time sad. He's growing up way to fast.
I look forward to the weekend.....not for rest....just a change of scenery.
Carrie
