Mom's Home!

She's back! And proud of it. Mom got home from the hospital late Friday afternoon. After a few attempts, they finally got the new pic line in. She has quite the supply of antibiotics that Dad has to administer (via IV) every 24 hr. and another one every 8 hrs. Dad should be grandfathered in as a nurse by the time Mom gets a new heart. I have to brag on him some, he has really been a trooper and takes really good care of Mom. They hardly ever let us help them do a thing.

So for now, Mom is catching up on some much needed rest and sleep. Hopefully after the 2 week antibiotic regimen, she will be back to where she was before the infection. Continue praying that this pic line will work until she can get a new heart.

I just want to thank all of you for your prayers. Would you please whisper a prayer of thanks to God. I give Him all the glory!

So glad she's home. She will get better at home and will get more rest. There's no rest for the weary in the hospital.

Carrie, I'm so glad to read your Mom is home. Bless her heart and your Dad's for being such a great nurse to your Mom ;-)

So glad your mom is home. Isn't it interesting that you have to come HOME to get rest after being in the hospital. I'm sure she feels much better now that she can 'sleep' in her own bed.

Blessings, Cindy
